The 1st and 2nd floors of the Eiffel Tower are accessible to wheelchair users via the elevators. The elevators are large enough to accommodate standard wheelchairs. The Summit has limited accessibility due to the smaller elevator and confined space at the top level.

Priority Access

Visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person benefit from priority access at the entrance, allowing them to bypass the main queues. Present your disability card or documentation at the dedicated reception point at the base of the tower.

Tactile Models

Tactile scale models of the Eiffel Tower are available at ground level and on the 1st floor, designed for visually impaired visitors to experience the tower's shape and structure through touch.

Can wheelchair users reach the Summit?
Access to the Summit is limited for wheelchair users due to the smaller elevator and confined spaces at the top level. The 1st and 2nd floors are fully accessible by elevator. Contact the tower in advance to discuss your specific needs.
Do I need to book special accessibility tickets?
You can purchase standard tickets online and present your disability documentation at the entrance for priority access and reduced rates. There is no separate 'accessibility ticket' — the reduced rate is applied at the point of entry or ticket office.

Is the area around the tower accessible?
Yes, the Champ de Mars gardens and the esplanade around the base of the tower are largely flat and wheelchair accessible. The nearest accessible Metro station is Bir-Hakeim (Line 6). Bus routes serving the area are also wheelchair accessible.
