Rules FAQ

Common questions about Eiffel Tower regulations

Can I bring a stroller or pushchair?
Yes, strollers are allowed and can be taken in the elevators. However, they must be folded if you take the stairs. The 1st and 2nd floors are accessible with a stroller via elevator.
Is there a left luggage service?
There is no luggage storage at the Eiffel Tower itself. Large bags and suitcases will be refused at security. Use a luggage storage service near Gare du Champ de Mars or other locations in Paris before your visit.
Can I fly a drone near the Eiffel Tower?
No. Drone flights are strictly prohibited in the entire Paris area without specific authorisation from the Préfecture de Police. This includes the area around the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars, and the Trocadéro. Violators face heavy fines and confiscation.
Can I post photos of the Eiffel Tower at night on social media?
Technically, the nighttime illumination design is copyrighted by SETE (the tower's operating company). In practice, personal photos shared on social media for non-commercial purposes are widely tolerated and millions of such photos are shared every year. Commercial use requires permission.
